Vine Routes
Vine Routes is a quality focussed wine tourism company that breaks the mould from the larger trip organisers that follow the well-trodden paths to the larger, branded producers. At Vine Routes we focus on small, quality wineries, in some of the continents most interesting regions. We are a company that offers more than just wine, with hotel comfort and a gastronomic experience considered every bit as important.
Over the last six years we have run dozens of trips to wineries, with groups as large as twenty and as small as four! The focus has always been on wine, and we are confident that so far every trip has been a success. Many of our trips have been to the classic regions of France, as a need to constantly assess the wines of Bordeaux and Burgundy, and to some degree Champagne has given reason to visit. Other trips have been very much more tourist focussed to Tuscany, Catalonia and Jerez, on these trips we try and build in a number of other activities such as an afternoons 'Tuscan Cookery Class' in Florence of a visit the Montserrat Monastery on the cliffs above Barcelona.
The one constant on all our trips is the level of expertise that leads them. In most cases Masters of Wines have been involved, or local experts, where it is felt those indigenous to the region add more to the trip than a travelling expert. We are very confident that we offer as high a level of information on any of our trips as any other company in the UK has to offer.
All our trips, with the exception of those run on coach from Plymouth start and finish at the destination airport. We are not travel agents, and we have found building in margins for flight price fluctuations does not benefit either us or the customer. We have also found that customers prefer the freedom of working our trip in and around their own travelling dates.
