The South West Wine Tasting Challenge is an annual competition to discover the best wine tasting talent in the South West. It is open to members of the Trade and Public alike with the winner being awarded the coveted Trophy and receiving and receiving dinner for two at The Royal Castle Hotel.
Event Details
Saturday 22nd October 201010am to 5.00pm at The Royal Castle Hotel in Dartmouth, Devon.
Entrants must register first to receive their allocated tasting time.
Entry is £10 per participant.

The Challenge
Eight wine samples are served double blind* and entrants must identify:- Grape Varietal or Grape Varietals in the blend (4 points)
- Country (3 points)
- Region of Origin (2 points)
- Vintage (1 BONUS point) to only be used as a tie-breaker.
Duration
You will have 50 minutes to complete the Challenge.Should you arrive late for your tasting slot, you will lose time to complete the Challenge.
Should you arrive at a different time than the scheduled one, your participation will be considered upon the spot availability
at that time.
Tastings will start on the hour, every hour between 12.00 and 4.00pm. Tasting slots will be allocated, and you will be informed by email; however if you have any preference over tasting time, please let us know when you register by using our online entry form below.
